What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Set architectural direction for the team and broader organization to evolve systems
- Lead the migration from a monolithic architecture to domain-driven microservice architecture
- Develop code that meets requirements and conduct code reviews to ensure high-quality standards
- Create clear documentation and diagrams to facilitate understanding and drive action
- Mentor engineers toward growth in business impact and career development
What is Required (Qualifications):
- A relevant bachelor’s degree and 12 years of relevant industry experience, or a relevant master's degree and nine years of relevant industry experience, or 16 years of practical experience
- Object-oriented software development experience, particularly with C# and .NET Core
- Significant experience in designing high-volume production systems with a focus on availability, disaster recovery, and security
- Experience in designing and developing microservices in a cloud-based architecture
- Expert knowledge of RDBMS technologies (SQL Server, PostgreSQL) and NoSQL stores (Redis, MongoDB, Elasticsearch)
How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
- Expert knowledge of event/stream processing mechanisms, specifically Kafka and AWS SNS/SQS
- Expert knowledge of Application Process Monitoring (APM) tools such as Scalyr/DataSet and New Relic
- Excellent verbal and written communication, leadership, and collaboration skills
