InterMoor is looking to add a Cost Controller to the team. The Cost Controller will control and monitor the fixed costs and total project expenditure and budget. They will also recommend and implement cost-saving measures and strategies for the group.
The successful candidate will be based in the Rio de Janeiro area.

Duties
•Monitoring and updating cost estimates for projects to ensure that costs are within expected ranges
•Coordinating with other departments such as human resources, payroll, accounting, and finance to ensure that all costs are accurately tracked
•Conducting cost analyses to identify areas where costs can be reduced or eliminated altogether
•Monitoring budgets to ensure that spending does not exceed approved levels
•Preparing reports to management regarding costs and expenses
•Preparing bid estimates for new projects or bids on existing projects
•Managing supplier relationships to ensure that the company is receiving quality products at competitive prices
•Support month-end processes, coordinate month-end accruals to Accounting
•Ensure efficient communication with all key interfaces
Required
•Bachelors or Masters degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (strong preference for Accounting)
•Minimum 3 years' experience working in cost control
•Fluent in English
•Commitment to meet deadlines
•Competency in Total Cost Management
•Proficient in Microsoft Excel (or a Cost Control tool)
•Proficient in Earned Value Management
•Strong analytical, mathematical, and financial skills, with the ability to interpret and present financial data
•Excellent communication, interpersonal, and customer service skills, with the ability to interact at all levels of the organization
