International Bechtel Company Ltd supports our customer in developing a next-generation city on the Mediterranean coast, including residential, commercial, recreational, tourism, and economic zones.

Job Summary :

This role involves overseeing procedures, processes, quality, compliance, risks, and technical aspects of the projects. You will collaborate with project management and quality teams to ensure technical deliverables meet specifications and design criteria.

Location is a short-term assignment at the project head office in Abu Dhabi, UAE (up to 12 months), with potential on-site assignment thereafter.

Major Responsibilities :

1. Oversee technical assurance on the project.
2. Interpret, organize, execute, and coordinate standards, codes, and regulations.
3. Prepare project procedures, design criteria, and specifications.
4. Conduct audits of technical deliverables.
5. Investigate non-conformance issues and implement corrective actions.
6. Ensure technical compliance with the customer and collaborate with project teams.
7. Manage submissions to regulatory authorities.
8. Identify risks and develop mitigation measures.
9. Provide training to discipline-specific personnel.

Education and Experience Requirements :

1. Engineering Bachelor's / Master's degree from an accredited institution, with 20+ years of technical project management experience.
2. Professional license preferred.
3. Experience in the MENA region and understanding of regional norms.
4. Excellent English communication and report writing skills.
5. Strong interpersonal skills, team-oriented, with a knowledge-sharing approach.
6. Problem-solving skills with lateral thinking, understanding client needs, and providing technical compliance and training.
7. Ability to work within a multi-disciplinary, multicultural team and manage challenging relationships.
8. Self-driven, capable of planning and executing work independently.

Knowledge and Skills :

1. Broad knowledge of engineering phases, field activities, materials, and construction methods.
2. Understanding of technical issues, risks, costs, and design requirements.
3. Knowledge of industry standards, practices, and procedures.
4. Experience with planning, scheduling, cost estimating, and program management.
5. Ability to manage multiple priorities and work in ambiguity.
6. Promote a work environment of openness, trust, communication, and innovation.
7. Maintain customer satisfaction through technical quality management.
