Applied Technology and Management (ATM), a Geosyntec Company, is looking for a Marine Surveyor to join our client project in Dubai, United Arab Emirates.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Plan and supervise surveying operations;
- Select, utilize, and calibrate appropriate surveying equipment for marine construction, hydrographic surveys, nautical charts, and maps;
- Select and manage survey boat, software and hardware for the project site;
- Provide accurate reports, manage data and answer technical queries for marine construction activities such as dredging, coastal work, pipelines and environmental monitoring, and other structural construction activities;
- Collect information about the seabed, water movement, waves, and delineation of high water and low water lines;
- Generate contour maps and other graphical models;
- Validate data, convert data into charts, profiles, and other graphical representations using AutoCAD and other software;
- Ensure project documentation is accurate, complete, neat, and compliant with company policies;
- Interact with project personnel, including contractors, project managers, engineers, and clients, fostering an integrated team approach;
- Prepare and oversee final reports, work plans, health and safety documents, and report appendices;
- Interpret technical specifications, construction drawings, and work plans to determine appropriate actions;
- Manage field change requests and change orders for review and approval;
- Determine staffing requirements and maintain personnel schedules to meet deadlines;
- Address and resolve on-site work, client, contractor/subcontractor, and employee issues efficiently;
- Ensure compliance with project specifications and health and safety policies;
- Oversee health and safety activities of subcontractors and surveyors, conducting tailgate meetings;
- Manage project budget and notify of costs and overruns;
- Perform related duties as required.
Education and Licensure
- Bachelor's degree in surveying, construction management, civil engineering, geology, marine sciences, or related fields (required)
- Advanced degree in the same fields (preferred)
Skills, Experience, and Qualifications
- Minimum 5 years of relevant experience or equivalent education and training (required)
- Strong oral and technical writing skills (required)
- Experience with marine, structural, and geotechnical survey equipment such as total stations, echo sounders, multibeam systems, etc. (preferred)
- Experience with design and modeling software like AutoCAD, Qinsy, Terramodel, Hypack, Wintopo (required)
