KBR is looking for a Lead HSE Engineer, Environmental & Social, based in Abu Dhabi, UAE.
Roles and Responsibilities
- Hold an Engineering degree.
- Have 20+ years or more experience in the Oil & Gas industry.
- Experience with ADNOC standards, HSE designs, studies, and HSEIA.
- Minimum of 6-8 years’ experience as a Lead HSE Engineer (E&S) in Oil & Gas Projects.
- At least 5 years’ experience working as a Lead HSE Engineer (E&S) in Middle East countries.
- Responsible for implementing HSEIA processes, project procedures, and instructions within assigned operations.
- Prefer experience with global EPC Contractors or Sub-Contractors.
- Possess leadership qualities to manage all manpower on site and ensure planned progress.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English.
Experiences and Qualifications
- Overall minimum of 20+ years in the oil & gas industry.
- At least 8 years of experience in a Lead role.
- Experience during the EPC phase of LNG projects.
- Lead development of Environmental, Social, Health Impact Assessments (ESHIA).
- Participate in developing ADNOC HSE Standards and AGES requirements, and monitor compliance.
- Participate in site assurance activities to verify occupational health and social impact controls.
- Provide HSE input to technical designs to ensure compliance with ADNOC & international standards.
- Participate in audits and verify their implementation.
- Conduct hazard identification and risk management practices.
- Foster a culture of open communication regarding HSE non-compliances.
- Support ongoing HSE programs to meet objectives.
- Be well-versed in establishing the ADNOC One ERP system.
- Ensure tools and equipment meet ADNOC HSE requirements.
- Ensure all work complies with project HSE Plans and KPIs.
- Support emergency preparedness initiatives.
- Assist emergency, fire, rescue teams in incident response.
- Stay updated on government regulations and standards.
- Support ADNOC leadership in promoting a positive safety culture.
- Participate in leadership HSE walkthroughs.
- Prioritize personal and team health and safety, and intervene in unsafe activities.
