Job description

A Spa Therapist is responsible for providing professional treatments and services for guests, including but not limited to body and facial treatments, massages, home care advice and tour of the facilities. Maintaining safety and cleanliness and ensuring guest satisfaction regarding all areas of Spa services in accordance with company standards.

What will I be doing?

As a Spa Therapist, you are responsible for performing the following tasks to the highest standards:

1. Attending Hilton Trainings and monthly departmental meetings as required
2. Ensuring high standards of cleanliness in the department
3. Reporting any maintenance issues to Recreation & Spa Manager
4. Assisting in all areas of the operations as requested by Recreation & Spa Manager
5. Being fully aware of current and future services offered by the hotel
6. Ensuring that departmental operation budget is adhered to, maximizing revenues and minimizing expenses
7. Providing efficient guest service from point of arrival to check out, booking, changing and canceling appointments, and upselling retail
8. Accurately scheduling all massage reservations, changes, confirms and cancels
9. Processing all billing and posting for spa and retail services: reporting any overages and shortages to Recreation & Spa Manager
10. Accurately explaining spa treatment menu and packages to guests
11. Greeting and welcoming all incoming and outgoing guests and staff in accordance to brand standards
12. Maintaining the quality of service and overall appearance of locker areas, lounge area and restrooms
13. Ensuring proper cleanliness of locker room, lounge, steam/sauna room, prep room and restrooms
14. Ensuring stocking of water and other beverages and setting up and breaking down of beverage and fruit station
15. Assisting guests and providing personal training sessions, if necessary
16. Maintaining the Fitness center: looking after equipment and coordinating with Precor representative for maintenance and product updates
17. Ensuring audio-visual equipment is well maintained and in good condition
18. Providing courteous and efficient guest service from point of arrival through check out
19. Orienting guests through our Fitness facility, greeting guests and providing personal guest service

A Spa Therapist serving Hilton Brand hotels and vacations is always working on behalf of our Guests and working with other Team Members. To successfully fill this role, you should maintain the attitude, behaviours, skills, and values that follow:

1. Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions and procedure manuals
2. Experience in hospitality or customer service industry is required
3. Ability to read, write, speak and understand the English language to effectively communicate with guests
4. Ability to speak effectively in front of groups of customers or employees of organization
5. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations
6. At least 1 year experience in the spa or hospitality industry

It would be advantageous in this position for you to demonstrate the following capabilities and distinctions:

1. Experience in a resort or wellness related field
