A ready meal manufacturer in Somerset West is looking for a Junior Packing and Logistics Assistant to support their team in efficiently preparing, packing, and dispatching frozen meal orders. Responsibilities include packing orders accurately, maintaining cold-chain integrity, labeling products, and assisting with stock organization. Candidates should have a high attention to detail, be physically fit, and be able to work in cold environments. Relevant experience is a plus, as is the ability to work well under pressure.

Qualifications

  • Previous experience in packing, warehouse, dispatch, or food production is an advantage.
  • Willingness to work in chilled/freezer rooms for extended periods.
  • Able to lift and move boxes (within safe limits).

Responsibilities

  • Pack frozen meal orders in the chilled/frozen room according to pick and packing sheets.
  • Maintain cold-chain integrity and ensure boxes are clean and suitable for frozen transport.
  • Label products according to company standards and customer requirements.
  • Assist with stock rotation and organization of packing materials.
  • Help with weekly/monthly stock counts and perform cleaning tasks.
