Job summary

A leading testing and certification company in Rustenburg is seeking a Logistics Assistant to manage sample receiving, storage, and tracking operations. The ideal candidate has a background in logistics and strong organizational skills. Responsibilities include sorting samples, maintaining records, and ensuring compliance with safety policies. Previous experience in sample logistics and knowledge of information management systems is preferred.

Qualifications

• Mathematics and Science will be an advantage.
• Previous experience in Sample Logistics and analysis is advantageous.
• Understanding of the information management system.

Responsibilities

• Receive, sort, weigh, and label samples as per competence modules.
• Track samples as per Sample Tracking instructions.
• Assist with storage duties for returned or discarded samples.
• Communicate daily operations with the Logistics Supervisor.
• Report any discrepancies or damaged parcels immediately.
• Scan all paperwork accurately every day.
• Report malfunctioning equipment to the Logistics Supervisor.
• Follow housekeeping, health, safety, and quality policies.
• Perform other tasks assigned by the line manager.
