Key Responsibilities :

Warehouse Operations & Environment

• Ensure daily opening, securing, and maintaining a safe, clean, and secure warehouse.
• Optimize warehouse layout for operational efficiency.
• Maintain high housekeeping standards.

Stock & Inventory Management

• Oversee receiving, storage, assembly, and dispatch of products.
• Ensure stock accuracy through zoning, cycle counts, and quarterly stock takes.
• Manage goods received: offloading, checking quality and accuracy, processing returns, and capturing stock.
• Conduct quality control on 5% of each incoming batch and record inspections.
• Report any quality issues to Local and Import Buyers immediately.

Distribution & Logistics

• Manage customer deliveries: early dispatch, on-time delivery, accuracy, routes, driver schedules, and vehicle maintenance.
• Oversee inter-branch stock transfers.
• Update the daily goods return book.

Product Quality & Presentation

• Check product cleanliness, packaging, and presentation to maintain quality standards.

Team Management

• Lead by example; manage staff respectfully and professionally.
• Recognize high performance and address poor performance.
• Ensure proper staffing with appropriate skills for each role.
• Conduct daily staff briefs, training, and performance reviews.
• Encourage teamwork and productivity.

Customer Service

• Ensure customer satisfaction during collections.
• Communicate product delays with internal sales and reps.

Stock Control & Procurement

• Monitor stock levels and reorder locally or inter-branch as needed.
• Maintain 12 months stock on hand.
• Check and act on backorders regularly.

Professional Standards

• Follow and enforce warehouse policies.
• Maintain professional appearance at all times.
