Role Purpose

Responsible for a vital part of the supply chain process, managing people, processes and systems to ensure goods are received and dispatched appropriately, and that productivity targets are met. Requirements
  • Degree in Warehousing/Logistics/Supply Chain Management/ Business
  • Have experience and knowledge of Supply Chain, Warehousing and Distribution management systems (WMS)
  • Knowledge of an FMCG environment.
  • Budget management and implementation
  • MS Office Skills
  • BPCS (advantageous)

Duties and Responsibilities
  • Plan and coordinate the daily activities of the warehouse team through an optimised operational structure, agreed job descriptions and established measures of success.
  • On a daily basis analyse operational execution results, understand the reason for deviations and action corrective measures in a collaborative manner
  • Continuously develop and drive strategies in collaboration with all internal and external stakeholders to achieve all required performance indicators
  • In conjunction with the national optimisation team investigate and study leading edge solutions to further improve performance results and maximise customers service experience
  • Ensure adherence to OHS ACT, BCEA legislations and use the company’s disciplinary guidelines as a medium to drive improved results
  • Ensure that the company is professionally represented by its ambassadors (warehouse staff relevance) through training, dress code rules and other relevant interventions
  • Nurture a mature and motivated staff complement through continuous training and engagement forums, interacting with staff at all organisational levels
  • Build a collaborative relationship with the regional and national sales teams to ensure the relationship drives the company’s customer service objectives with a mature ability in finding the balance between customer service and a highly cost and efficiency driven environment
  • Build and maintain sustainable relationships with all customers to ensure warehouse efficiency measures and cost achievement results are at optimal levels
  • Manage and control warehousing cost through daily analysis, weekly and monthly performance measurements and management reporting
  • Monitoring and management of product storage, and waste (losses, obsolescence, dumps and related costs)
  • Ensure customer service excellence by storing and loading quality products through proper cold chain management.
  • General site maintenance and housekeeping
  • Statistically analyse movement per SKU to optimise storage locations and warehouse utilisation / efficiencies
  • Conduct studies/review to improve overall operational efficiency
  • Develop and review standard operating procedures for your area
  • Ensure export requirements are met and non-conformances communicated
  • Ensure re-supply stock are managed and order requirements are met
  • Ensure assets are maintained and accounted for at all time
