Job Description

A qualified and experienced Assistant Warehouse Manager is required to join a dynamic team in the steel industry. This permanent, full-time, hands-on role supports the Warehouse and Operations Manager in ensuring the smooth day-to-day operations of the warehouse. The ideal candidate is proactive, customer-facing, and possesses strong problem-solving abilities and people management skills. With a focus on optimising warehouse functions, maintaining the integrity of outgoing products, and ensuring compliance with the quality management system, the successful candidate will play a key role in driving operational efficiency. This position is based in Kyalami, Midrand, Gauteng.

Responsibilities

• Ensure operations in the warehouse are optimised and carried out effectively.
• Manage workflow and driver route schedules.
• Oversee stock and operations.
• Goods ordered, received, and assembled as required.
• Goods dispatched correctly and efficiently.
• Manage logistics and fleet.
• Ensure facilities, vehicles, and equipment are maintained in good condition.
