Job summary
A private school in Sandton is seeking an enthusiastic individual to provide both Esports coaching and IT technical support. The role requires strong IT skills, experience in coaching competitive gaming teams, and proficiency in Microsoft Office applications. Ideal candidates will balance academic responsibilities with gaming excellence and must have reliable transport.
Qualifications
- 1–3 years of hands-on IT support or hardware and software troubleshooting.
- Proven experience coaching or competing at a high level in Counter-Strike, Valorant, and/or Fortnite.
Responsibilities
- Lead, coach, and mentor students in Esports.
- Manage Esports practices, competitions, and gaming activities across multiple titles.
- Provide daily IT support and troubleshooting for staff and students.
Skills
Education
To provide both Esports coaching and IT technical support within a private school environment. The role combines competitive gaming leadership with day-to-day IT operational support to ensure effective learning delivery and technical functionality across the school.
- Grade 12 / Matric
- CompTIA A+, N+ or equivalent certification
- 1–3 years of hands-on IT support or hardware and software troubleshooting
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications
- Proven experience coaching or competing at a high level in Counter-Strike, Valorant, and / or Fortnite
- Own reliable transport
- Lead, coach, and mentor students in Esports, developing team strategy and sportsmanship
- Manage Esports practices, competitions, and gaming activities across multiple titles
- Provide daily IT support and troubleshooting for staff, students, and school devices
- Install, configure, and maintain hardware, software, and peripherals
- Support users with Microsoft Office applications and related systems
- Assist with school operations such as supervision duties, exam invigilation, and substitution teaching when required
- Promote a disciplined, inclusive, and positive environment that balances academic and gaming excellence
