Mining Diesel Mechanic: Field Maintenance & Standby
Job summary
A leading mining company in Kathu, Northern Cape is looking for a Diesel Mechanic. The role involves maintaining equipment, inspecting vehicles, and ensuring compliance with safety standards. Candidates must have a Grade 12, a Certificate in Diesel Mechanic, and at least 5 years of post-qualification experience. Proficiency in heavy machinery like Komatsu and Caterpillar is essential. Qualifications
- Minimum of 5 years post-qualification experience as a Diesel Mechanic.
- Experience with CAT (D10T2) is advantageous.
- Minimum of two (2) years operational Earth Moving Equipment experience.
Responsibilities
- Maintain equipment for mining operations at Kathu.
- Inspect vehicles and analyze faults.
- Participate in standby team for breakdown maintenance.
