Our Client is seeking a passionate and experienced Bartender for our Japanese Restaurant, Hoseki, located at Delaire Graff Lodges & Spa in Stellenbosch. The ideal candidate will deliver an exceptional guest drinking experience by creating both classic and innovative drinks that surpass customer expectations.

1. Prepare alcohol and non-alcohol beverages for bar and restaurant patrons.
2. Interact with customers, take orders, and serve drinks and snacks.
3. Assess customer needs and preferences; make recommendations.
4. Mix and prepare ingredients for cocktails.
5. Plan and present the bar menu.
6. Restock and replenish bar inventory and supplies.
7. Maintain a guest-focused approach to ensure an excellent experience.
8. Comply with all food and beverage regulations to minimize losses.
9. Maintain hygiene and cleanliness standards in all bar areas.
10. Check drinks for presentation and temperature to ensure quality.
11. Ensure the bar is fully set-up and ready for service, including coffee stations and equipment.
12. Assist management with bar stock management.

1. Preferably 3+ years of experience as a Barman.
2. Ability to travel to and from the property for late shifts.
3. Passion for the hospitality industry.
4. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal.
5. Strong customer service orientation and people skills.
6. Ability to work professionally across departments and cultures.
7. Comfortable dealing with distinguished clientele.
