Overview: This position reports to the HR Manager and is a member of the company's human resources group. This role is an on-site position, working 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM, Monday through Friday.

The HR Assistant is responsible for assisting with various Human Resource functions in compliance with corporate policies and procedures, including but not limited to employee records management, recruiting, onboarding, benefits, employee relations, and supporting employee engagement and events.

Primary Duties / Responsibilities:

• Manage staffing workflows and process multiple case files simultaneously.
• Develop offer letters and assist with pre-employment screening, background checks, and issue resolution.
• Assist with onboarding, orientation, training logistics, recordkeeping, and offboarding.
• Ensure accurate data entry and payroll form verification.
• Interact with new hires and communicate with HR staff and supervisors.
• Support benefits administration and employee relations.
• Assist with company communications and employee functions.
• Maintain personnel files and ensure proper documentation.
• Perform other office duties as assigned and cross-train for backup support.

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent; degree in a business-related field or two years relevant experience preferred.
• 1-2 years experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Proficiency in MS Office and bilingual in Spanish.
• Knowledge of employment laws, recruiting, staffing, and HR functions.
• Ability to handle confidential information professionally.
• Strong organizational, time management, and customer service skills.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs occasionally and work in an office environment daily.
