About The Position

Azure Data Engineer

What's the Role?

The Data Engineer role will be part of our digital practice and will be focused on delivering best of breed technology solutions based on Azure Cloud, Ab Initio and open source technology stack for Exusia's clients.

The candidate will also be part of the practice team and contribute to competency development & driving innovation through various internal initiatives within the company.

Candidate should have more than 2 years of experience with broad exposure to Microsoft and Data Engineering technologies (Unix, SQL, Ab Initio).

Key Responsibilities:

1. Work on client projects to deliver Microsoft Cloud (Azure) based Data engineering & Analytics solutions.
2. Provide hands-on technical leadership for relevant technical skills on multiple projects if required.
3. Engineer and implement scalable analytics solutions both on premise & Cloud platforms.
4. Design data pipelines to ingest & integrate structured / unstructured data from heterogeneous sources.
5. Collaborate with delivery leadership to deliver projects on time adhering to the quality standards.
6. Contribute to the growth of the Microsoft Cloud (Azure) practice by helping with solution design for prospects and internal training for Exusia employees and clients.
7. Contribute to talent recruitment, competency building and providing mentorship to junior resources.

Requirements Criteria for the Role:

The successful candidate would need to have 2+ years of experience and should possess a broad set of capabilities, depth of knowledge and variety of experiences.

The competency needs for this role are as follows:

Mandatory Skills:

1. Should have solid experience for ETL processing.
2. Experience on Azure Synapse Analytics with demonstrated hands-on experience on at least 1 project.
3. Strong knowledge of Azure Data pipeline tools Azure Data Factory and/or Azure Databricks.
4. Problem-solving skills along with good interpersonal & communication skills.
5. Self-starter who can work on any Azure Services in the Analytics space.
6. Experience working with data from DataVerse and Azure SQL Database.

Nice-to-Have Skills:

1. Working knowledge of Power BI & Embedded Analytics using Power BI Embedded and .NET.
2. Working knowledge of SSRS and SSAS.
3. Experience building operational / interactive Model-driven & Canvas based applications using Power Apps.
4. Exposure to Analytics services available on Azure.
5. Automating workflows and business processes with Power Apps & Power Automate.
6. Integrate Power Platform components with Azure based services and Azure security layer.
7. Installation & Configuration of Microsoft tools both On Premise & Azure.
8. Understanding of Data Modeling & Other ETL tools is desirable.
9. Exposure to Other BI / Visual Analysis tools like Tableau, Looker is desirable.
10. Experience with Excel Macros and VBScript.
11. Exposure to any other low code / No code platforms for building data centric apps will be a plus.
