Lead and manage the group consolidation process across all hotel entities.

Ensure compliance with IFRS and listed company reporting requirements.

Oversee budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow management at group level.

Provide strategic financial insights to support executive decision-making.

Partner with senior stakeholders to align financial performance with broader business objectives.

Drive process improvement and ensure efficient reporting under tight deadlines.

Take full fiduciary responsibility for the safekeeping and use of all funds and assets of the Company in accordance with Southern Sun policies and practices

Assist Executive Management to reduce costs and improve profit by closely analysing and reporting financial data

Act as the immediate contact for corporate, independent and all government regulatory agencies on all accounting and financial matters

Are accountable for all internal accounting and administrative controls to ensure that all transactions are handled correctly

Demonstrate sound technical accounting skills such as IFRS

Demonstrate proven group consolidation experience

Adapt to fast changing environments

Calculate and interpret financial results

Demonstrate experience in budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow management at a group level

Demonstrate the ability to understand and align with the broader business objective

Are proactive, leads by example and demonstrates a strong sense of initiative

Demonstrate strong leadership skills with proven experience in managing and motivating a diverse team

BCom (Hons) Accounting and a registered Chartered Accountant (CA(SA)).

6-8 years post-articles experience, ideally within a listed company environment.

Proven group consolidation experience.

Strong exposure to budgeting, forecasting, and financial modelling.

Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel; experience with SAP advantageous.

Prior exposure to a JSE-listed environment will be highly regarded.

• Ability to work independently and take ownership of responsibilities and accountability;
• Strong leadership skills with proven experience in managing and motivating a diverse team across multiple generations (Generation X to Generation Z);
• A proactive individual who leads by example and demonstrates a strong sense of initiative;
• Excellent communication skills;
• Comfortable working in a listed environment with strict reporting deadlines, including periods requiring overtime during forecasting cycles, half-year and year-end reporting, and other critical timelines;
• Adapt to fast changing environment;
• The ability to understand and align with the broader business objective (see the "bigger picture");
• Be able to interpret financial data and make informed decisions;
• Analyse complex financial situations, identify problems and develop effective solutions;
• Capable of making high-pressure decisions confidently;
