Junior Equipment Finance Manager – Bryanston, Sandton

CTC: R30 000 per month

Purpose of the Role

To optimize secondary profits by managing asset risk, lifecycle, and end-of-term strategies within rental / lease transactions. This includes conducting risk analyses, developing pricing strategies, and ensuring all business falls within mandate guidelines.

• Risk and Profit Management: Conduct risk analyses and predict asset behaviour and performance.
• Risk and Profit Management: Maximize income potential through effective management of secondary profit and residual value.
• Risk and Profit Management: Ensure all deals fall within risk guidelines and mandates.
• Risk and Profit Management: Provide guidance to stakeholders on risk management best practices.
• Risk and Profit Management: Review and sign-off deal packs to ensure compliance and profitability.
• Risk and Profit Management: Conduct quarterly risk reviews on asset types and monitor GRV exposure trends.
• Risk and Profit Management: Establish controls to protect the company against adverse outcomes.
• Asset Lifecycle Management: Oversee full asset lifecycle from acquisition to end-of-term strategy.
• Asset Lifecycle Management: Analyze and determine asset types for profitability and strategic fit.
• Asset Lifecycle Management: Adjust asset strategies based on performance data and market trends.
• Client and Deal Engagement: Participate in client meetings to understand asset use and business needs.
• Client and Deal Engagement: Develop and implement strategic plans to enhance returns and client relationships.
• Client and Deal Engagement: Collaborate with Sales Executives and Business Managers to design optimal deal structures.
• Client and Deal Engagement: Proactively engage with clients for account evaluations and proposal negotiations.
• Client and Deal Engagement: Present monthly results and asset reviews to internal and external stakeholders.
• Client and Deal Engagement: Identify and resolve client challenges while aligning with organizational strategy.
• Business & Strategic Development: Identify new business opportunities and refer to Sales Executives.
• Business & Strategic Development: Recommend enhancements to rental models based on asset performance and trends.
• Business & Strategic Development: Manage internal stakeholder interactions to ensure consistent client service.

Education: Education: BCom in Finance, Financial Management, or similar commercial qualification.

Experience: Minimum 3 years in risk, pricing, and financial / spreadsheet modelling.

• Strong financial and tax understanding of rental / lease products.
• Advanced Excel and financial modelling (SAP experience advantageous).
• High level of numeracy and analytical thinking.
• Experience with operating leases and secondary profit strategies.
• Business acumen and customer relationship management.
• Ability to interpret and apply time value of money in deal structuring.

• Strong in advanced mathematics and financial modelling.
• Strategic thinker with the ability to price complex deals accurately.
• Confident communicator, able to work cross-functionally with Sales and Finance teams.
• Analytical, detail-oriented, and commercially savvy.
