Our firm is a growing, client-focused accounting firm providing comprehensive financial services to a diverse range of businesses and individuals. We are currently looking for a Junior Accountant who has completed their SAICA / SAIPA / CIMA / CIBA articles to join our professional team.
This role is ideal for someone passionate about accounting, eager to grow, and looking to build a long-term career within a dynamic firm.
- Bookkeeping for various clients across multiple industries.
- Drafting annual financial statements in accordance with applicable financial reporting frameworks.
- Processing and managing payroll, including statutory submissions (PAYE, UIF, SDL).
- Performing account reconciliations (bank, debtors, creditors, and general ledger).
- Assisting with VAT, EMP201s, and other SARS submissions.
- Liaising with clients regarding financial queries and document requests.
- Supporting senior staff on ad hoc tasks and special projects.
- Completed SAICA / SAIPA / CIMA / CIBA articles.
- Relevant qualification (BCom Accounting or similar).
- Experience with accounting software (e.g. Xero, Sage, QuickBooks, Draftworx, or CaseWare) is advantageous.
- Sound knowledge of accounting and payroll principles.
- Strong communication and client service skills.
- Ability to manage deadlines and handle multiple client files efficiently.
- Attention to detail and a proactive attitude.
