A leading South African company in Durban is seeking a Pricing Clerk to maintain accurate product pricing, ensure compliance with pricing strategies, and support the sales and finance teams. Ideal candidates should have a Matric with Mathematics/Accounting, along with 1–3 years' experience in pricing or admin, preferably in FMCG. Proficiency in ERP systems and MS Excel is essential.
Qualificações
- 1–3 years’ experience in pricing, costing, or admin within FMCG/warehousing/manufacturing.
- Experience in FMCG industry advantageous.
Responsabilidades
- Capture and update product pricing on internal ERP systems.
- Monitor and adjust pricing according to raw material costs, packaging costs, and market fluctuations.
- Ensure correct pricing is reflected on invoices, quotations, and product lists.

The Pricing Clerk is responsible for maintaining accurate and up-to-date product pricing. This includes ensuring compliance with company pricing strategies, monitoring cost fluctuations, updating systems, and supporting sales and finance teams with accurate price information.
- Capture and update product pricing on internal ERP systems.
- Monitor and adjust pricing according to raw material costs, packaging costs, and market fluctuations.
- Ensure correct pricing is reflected on invoices, quotations, and product lists.
- Verify price changes are authorized and implemented consistently across all platforms.
- Maintain accurate records of all pricing changes, approvals, and effective dates.
- Assist with pricing audits and ensure compliance with company and statutory requirements.
- Compile and distribute updated price lists to relevant departments (sales, invoicing and accounts).
- Track supplier costs (grain, packaging materials, logistics) and report potential price impact.
- Assist management in reviewing competitor pricing and market trends.
- Provide costing support for new product development or repackaged items.
Education/Experience:
- Matric / Grade 12 with Mathematics/Accounting.
- Diploma/Certificate in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or Supply Chain (advantageous).
- 1–3 years’ experience in pricing, costing, or admin within FMCG/warehousing/manufacturing.
- Experience in FMCG industry advantageous.
- Proficiency in ERP systems (Sage Evolution, or similar) and MS Excel.
