Overview

The ideal candidate has foundational experience in travel or tourism and is eager to grow within a luxury travel environment. You are comfortable supporting senior consultants while taking ownership of your own bookings and administrative responsibilities. Highly organised and detail-oriented, you take pride in accuracy and reliability, and you are looking for a long-term development opportunity rather than a short-term role. This is a junior support position with progressive responsibility based on performance and attention to detail.

Core Criteria
  • 12 years experience in travel, tourism, reservations, or tour operations (essential)
  • Diploma or qualification in Tourism, Travel, Hospitality, or a related field
  • Must have a valid drivers license
  • High level of attention to detail, accuracy, and organisational ability
  • Strong administrative skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines
  • Ability to work independently after onboarding, while collaborating closely with senior consultants
  • Must be based in the Western Cape
Core Responsibilities
  • Supporting senior consultants with travel enquiries, quotations, and itinerary preparation
  • Coordinating bookings, confirmations, amendments, and cancellations
  • Preparing, checking, and issuing travel vouchers and related documentation
  • Managing supplier communication, confirmations, and follow-ups
  • Reviewing supplier invoices and assisting with payment preparation
  • Managing all administrative tasks related to own quotes and bookings
  • Maintaining accurate, well-organised booking records and documentation
  • Ensuring all work aligns with company standards, processes, and timelines
About the Role
  • Hybrid / remote (Cape Town & surrounds)
  • Initial onboarding and training in Wellington, Western Cape
  • Part-time position, requiring about 25-30 hours per week
  • Initial 6-month fixed-term contract, with potential to extend and increase hours
  • Clear opportunity to grow into a full-time Travel Consultant role over time
  • Commission structure introduced once active consulting and revenue generation form part of the role
