Our Surface Water Science team is currently seeking to identify a talent pool of Senior Ecohydrologists for future temporary and permanent opportunities in the next 18 months.
As a Senior Ecohydrologist you will play a pivotal role in providing project leadership and specialist expertise in aquatic ecology and / or hydrology. Your work will empower informed decisionmaking to optimise surface water management across NSW. Key responsibilities include leading strategic monitoring initiatives for ecological indicators conducting applied aquatic research to shape recommendations for enhanced water management and bridging policy gaps collaborating on projects that drive robust ecological outcomes for the NSW community regions internal departments and government agencies. Your contributions will deliver impactful solutions ensuring sustainable water management practices that benefit diverse stakeholders and ecosystems.

DCCEEW conserves and protects the states natural environment. It manages the NSW national park estate including its rich and diverse biodiversity and Aboriginal cultural heritage for future generations.
DCCEEW also ensures sustainable management of water resources across the state to support the environment communities and industry.
The Water Group leads the NSW Government in providing confidence to communities and stakeholders with the transparent stewardship of water resources provision of services and reforms that support sustainable and healthy environments economies and societies across NSW.
