Our Surface Water Science team is currently seeking to identify a talent pool of Senior Ecohydrologists for future temporary and permanent opportunities in the next 18 months.

As a Senior Ecohydrologist you will play a pivotal role in providing project leadership and specialist expertise in aquatic ecology and / or hydrology. Your work will empower informed decisionmaking to optimise surface water management across NSW. Key responsibilities include leading strategic monitoring initiatives for ecological indicators conducting applied aquatic research to shape recommendations for enhanced water management and bridging policy gaps collaborating on projects that drive robust ecological outcomes for the NSW community regions internal departments and government agencies. Your contributions will deliver impactful solutions ensuring sustainable water management practices that benefit diverse stakeholders and ecosystems.

About You

We are seeking candidates with the following demonstrated experience / skills / knowledge :

• Sound understanding of State and Federal natural resource management frameworks especially in relation to riverine health and water sharing
• Sound knowledge of statistical procedures and spatial analysis and their application in assessing water quality and riverine health
• Excellent project management skills with the ability to effectively manage workloads with competing demands and priorities
• Initiative to solve problems with strong research and analysis skills
• Have strong written and oral communication skills with experience collaborating on project management and presentation of outcomes to stakeholders including communicating technical information to a broad range of audiences
• Degree level qualifications in Science Ecology Hydrology Natural Resources Management Environmental Engineering or a related discipline.
