INTRODUCTION

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Medical Technician with a strong hospital engineering background to join our team. This position requires a qualified technician to ensure the smooth operation of hospital equipment and infrastructure, supporting the highest quality care for our patients. The ideal candidate must have a medical technology degree and technical expertise in maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing medical equipment.

Must be willing to travel abroad.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Maintain, troubleshoot, and repair medical equipment and hospital infrastructure
2. Provide technical support to clinical and medical teams to ensure smooth hospital operations
3. Ensure compliance with safety standards and hospital protocols
4. Conduct routine inspections and preventive maintenance on medical equipment
5. Assist in the installation and calibration of new medical devices
6. Document and report all maintenance activities, repairs, and improvements
7. Ensure that all equipment and systems are compliant with health and safety regulations

Requirements:

1. Degree/Diploma in Medical Technology or related field
2. Background in Hospital Engineering is preferred
3. Proven experience working in a medical or hospital environment
4. Strong technical knowledge of medical equipment and hospital systems
5. Excellent problem-solving, organizational, and analytical skills
6. Ability to work efficiently both independently and as part of a team
7. Strong attention to detail and communication skills
8. Procurement Experience
9. Government Industry background/experience
10. Writing medicals
11. Ability to properly clean and maintain equipment
12. Minimum of 1-2 years experience
13. Must be registered with HPCSA

3. Previous experience in a laboratory or medical setting
