Introduction

We are looking for a Warehouse Manager - Trade based at our Fluidra Pro Center in Pretoria.

This is a unique opportunity to manage a dynamic warehouse environment, where you will be responsible for all aspects of the warehouse, including receiving, dispatch, warehousing functions, fleet management, route planning, and ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations.

Responsibilities

Warehouse Management :

Oversee all warehouse operations, including receiving, storing, and dispatching goods.

Maintain accurate inventory records and ensure proper stock levels are maintained.

Implement efficient warehouse layout and organisation to optimise space utilisation.

People Management :

Lead, mentor, and motivate warehouse staff, fostering a culture of teamwork and excellence.

Conduct regular performance evaluations and provide feedback for continuous improvement.

Manage staffing needs, including recruitment, training, and development.

Fleet Management and Route Planning :

Operate and manage a fleet of vehicles for transportation and delivery purposes.

Develop and implement effective route plans to optimise delivery efficiency and minimise costs.

Coordinate vehicle maintenance and repairs to ensure fleet reliability and compliance with safety standards.

Compliance :

Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations and company policies.

Conduct regular inspections to identify and address potential hazards in the warehouse and during transportation.

Implement measures to promote a safe working environment for warehouse staff and drivers.

About You

Education and Experience :

A bachelor's degree or diploma in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field is preferred.

3-5 years' experience in a similar position.

Proven experience in warehouse management, preferably in a similar industry.

Experience in fleet management and route planning is highly desirable.

Skills :

Strong leadership and management skills with the ability to motivate and develop a team.

Excellent organisational and time management abilities to prioritise tasks effectively.

Proficiency in inventory management systems and Microsoft Office Suite.

Having a good understanding and knowledge of an ERP system like Syspro would be advantageous.

Knowledge of health and safety regulations about warehouse and transportation operations.

Assess, improve, and regulate systems, processes, and protocols.
