Job Responsibilities
• Achieve complete understanding and alignment to our company Safety & Health, Security and Asset Management policies.
• Achieve complete understanding and alignment to our department Vision, Mission and Core Values and communicate these to your Inspection team for their necessary complete understanding and alignment.
• Achieve complete understanding and alignment to our department maintenance plans.
• Participate in night work and emergency recovery activities when necessary.
• Achieve operational understanding of tunnel, viaduct and track systems.
• Achieve operational understanding of our Rail maintenance standard for visual defects:
o Defect severity;
o Defect classification;
o Defect rectification timeline.
• Achieve operational understanding of our possible mitigation and recovery methods for visual defects.
• Review and participate, when necessary, in the planning of the preventive maintenance (PM) regime for your Inspection team to ensure practicality and alignment to their rostered work schedule.
• Deploy prudent resource management and prioritization to facilitate productivity and timeliness in implementing the planned Inspection PM regime to achieve the New Rail Financing Framework (NRFF) maintenance KPIs.
• Maintain an active and up-to-date database for visual defects.
• Track and analyse visual defect data to recommend the next courses-of-action, which may include mitigation and recovery processes.
• Develop, review and maintain work instructions and respective risk assessments for your Inspection team maintenance processes in a timely manner to ensure the contents are relevant, up-to-date, practical and aligned to OEM recommendations and best practices.
• Participate in all maintenance, system and safety audits related to your Inspection team.
• Develop and communicate emergency response plans and drills to your Inspection team for timely implementation when necessary.
• Organize regular communication and feedback sessions with your Inspection team.
• Monitor the performance of each Inspection team member to recommend commendation and disciplinary action, when necessary, to your Function Lead.
• Identify Inspection staff with high potential and recommend their progression plans to your Function Lead for succession planning.
• Support your Function Lead in LTA or our department projects related to your Inspection team.
• Support the department as beneficiary of visual detection technology that is being explored, tested or implemented.
• Take on other tasks assigned by your Function Lead or department superior(s).
Requirements
• Recognized degree in Engineering.
• Fresh graduates are welcomed.
• Recent 1 year in maintenance environment is advantageous.
• Prior hands-on experience in quality assurance and quality control is advantageous.
• Prior hands-on experience in data management and analysis is advantageous.
• Prior hands-on experience in Microsoft applications of PowerApps and PowerBi advantageous.
