Job summary

A water treatment technology company in Singapore is seeking a Maintenance Technician with a NITEC in Mechanical Engineering to assist in maintaining equipment and facilities. Responsibilities include mechanical maintenance, fault-finding, and supporting training compliance. Candidates with experience in water treatment or chemical processing are preferred, though entry-level candidates are also encouraged to apply. This role requires adherence to SHE rules and strong collaboration with stakeholders.

Qualifications

  • Candidate must possess at least a NITEC in Mechanical Engineering.
  • Class 3 driving license is an added advantage.
  • Experience in water and wastewater treatment industries is highly preferable.

  • Maintain mechanical equipment and facilities for safe manufacturing.
  • Assist engineers in mechanical maintenance and repair activities.
  • Fault-finding and repair of plant systems and equipment.
  • Participate in Risk Assessments for Permit to Work preparation.

Job description
Responsibilities
  • Maintain mechanical equipment and facilities and to aid in the manufacturing of all company products in a safe and sanitary work environment;
  • Assist engineers for the completion of all planned or unplanned mechanical maintenance and repair activities on a wide range of equipment (e.g. pumps, tank, piping, valves) as assigned;
  • Assist in monitoring all work being performed by outside contractors;
  • Fault-finding and repair of plant, systems and equipment;
  • Participates in Risk Assessments as part of Permit to Work preparation;
  • Interprets technical drawings and prepares reports on work done;
  • Special projects and other responsibilities as may be determined;
  • Perform minor piping fabrication, modification
  • Maintain all machine shop tools and equipment such as, and not limited to, welding set, working tooling, lifting gear, as required;
  • Support equipment inspection with vendor representative on tanks, column, pipelines and centrifuge;
  • Rebuilding valves, pumps, gearboxes and drives;
  • Perform predictive maintenance activities e.g. vibration monitoring, infra‑red thermography & etc;
  • Complete all required in house training in a timely manner;
  • Adhere and compliant with SHE rules;
  • Liaise with stakeholders to ensure proper implementation of the works and/or services;
  • All other duties and activities as directed by Supervisor
Requirements
  • Candidate must process at least a NITEC in Mechanical Engineering
  • Class 3 driving license an added advantage
  • Able to work 44 hours week
  • Highly preferable with equipment maintenance experience in Water and waste water treatment industries or chemical process industries. Entry Level candidate are encouraged to apply
