Job summary
A vibrant hotel company in Singapore is seeking a dedicated individual to assist the Chef de Partie. This role involves preparing ingredients, maintaining cleanliness, and ensuring service excellence in a high-energy kitchen environment. Applicants should have at least 2 years of culinary experience, proficiency in South-East Asian or Mediterranean cuisine, and a strong focus on hygiene and guest satisfaction. Qualifications
- At least 2 years of culinary experience, with a minimum of 1 year in high turnover restaurants.
- Sound knowledge of health and hygiene regulations.
- Ability to adhere to instructions and possess a creative flair.
Responsibilities
- Assist in the running of the sections.
- Cut, portion and prepare stocks, sauces and daily garnishes.
- Provide service for buffet replenishment and a la carte orders.
- Prepare complete mise-en-place for the following day.
- Ensure cleanliness in the sections.

To assist the Chef de Partie in the running of the sections
- To cut, portion and prepare stocks, sauces and daily garnishes with assistance of Cooks
- To provide service to all buffet replenishment and a la carte orders
- To prepare complete mise-en-place for the following day
- To ensure total cleanliness in the sections
- To practice and enforce the system of "First-In-First-Out" (FIFO) when storing food products
- Have at least 2 years of Culinary experience in which a minimum of 1 year at a cook level managing high turnover restaurants in a 4/5 star hotel or high-volume independent restaurants
- Proficient in Local/South-East Asian Cuisine and/or Mediterranean Cuisine
- Must possess Food Hygiene certification
- Sound knowledge of Back of House operations complying to Health and Hygiene regulations
- Fluent in English
- Tactful and confident in speaking with guests and associates
- Proficient in Microsoft Office works
- Ability to adhere to instructions well
- Good team player and team builder
- Possess creative flair in designing food offerings and displays
