Job Summary:
The Mortgage Sales Advisor guides clients through the home loan process, from initial consultation to closing. This role involves building relationships, assessing financial needs, educating clients on mortgage products, and ensuring a smooth, compliant experience while meeting sales targets. Strong communication, financial knowledge, and customer service skills are essential.
Key Responsibilities:
o Proactively identify and cultivate new business opportunities through various channels, including networking, referrals (real estate agents, builders, financial planners), community events, and lead generation initiatives.
o Build and maintain strong, lasting relationships with clients, referral partners, and internal stakeholders.
o Conduct initial consultations with prospective borrowers to understand their financial situation, goals, and needs.
o Advise clients on various mortgage loan options and explain the terms, conditions, and requirements of each.
o Meet or exceed individual and team sales targets and production goals.
o Develop and implement effective sales strategies to maximize client acquisition and loan volume.
o Cross-sell other banking products and services where appropriate to meet client needs.
o Collect and meticulously review all necessary financial documentation from clients
o Assist clients in completing accurate and complete mortgage loan applications.
o Analyze client creditworthiness, financial data, and property evaluations to determine loan eligibility and assess risk.
o Resolve any issues or challenges that may arise during the application or closing process.
o Stay informed about current market trends, interest rates, and competitor offerings to provide accurate and competitive information to clients.
