Furen International School is looking for full-time Form Teachers! If you have a passion for working with teenagers and gain satisfaction from assisting them in assimilating smoothly in their school life, then you are the person we are looking for.
You ideally have:
· A degree preferably in counselling or psychology background; or
· A diploma with relevant working experience (can be part-time or volunteer); and
· Bilingual competency in English and Chinese; Mature and ability to converse with parents from China
About the job
• Coordination Duties: This role involves managing attendance and disciplinary cases in collaboration with student services, discipline master, academic department and hostel staff, and facilitating communication with external counsellors if necessary.
• Student Support: Provide daily counselling sessions for students dealing with various issues such as course transfers, grievances, and feedback. Guiding students on their well-being and on matters pertaining to their academic concerns.
• Parental Consultations: Conduct daily counselling sessions with parents via F2F or digital tools such as WeChat and Zoom. Keep parents updated regularly on students’ status in school and hostel.
• Reporting and Evaluation: Generate counselling reports, conduct feedback and reviews. Perform in-depth analysis to inform proposed evaluations.
• Administrative duties: Assist Form Teacher department for thorough documentation, reports and any other duties assigned by supervisor.
