Pharmacy Technician Job description

1. Assisting in the processing of prescriptions (registration of prescriptions, typing, picking, labelling, and dispensing of medications) and screening of prescriptions.

2. Provide appropriate counselling and information to patients and caregivers.

3. Manage drug inventory (e.g. stock replenishment, conducting stock counts and inventory checks).

4. Handles enquiries related to medication supplies, drug related issues, product information, pharmacy services and general patient workflow.

5. Picking, packing and labeling of medicine in accordance to Standard Operating Procedures (SOP).

Qualifications

1. Diploma in Pharmaceutical Science (Clinical Track) or its equivalent or GCE A/O/N level with a Certificate in Pharmacy Technician course conducted by Pharmaceutical Society of Singapore.

2. Candidates who do not have Pharmaceutical Science Diplomas can be considered for junior / temp roles.

Pharmacist Job Description

1. Medication Management

1. Review, prepare, and dispense prescriptions.

2. Ensure accuracy and safety in drug dispensing.

3. Monitor stock levels and manage inventory.

2. Patient Care Support

1. Counsel patients on medication use, side effects, and interactions.

2. Provide drug information to patients and healthcare staff.

3. Support medication adherence for better patient outcomes.

3. Clinical Support

1. Participate in ward rounds when necessary.

2. Review medication charts and provide clinical input.

3. Assist in adverse drug reaction (ADR) reporting and medication error tracking.

4. Regulatory & Safety Compliance

1. Ensure compliance with hospital and national pharmacy regulations.

2. Maintain proper documentation and storage of medications.

3. Support audits and quality improvement initiatives.

5. Education & Training

1. Train junior pharmacists, pharmacy assistants, and interns.

2. Conduct in-service education for healthcare teams.

3. Stay updated with pharmaceutical knowledge and practices.

6. Administrative Duties

1. Assist in policy-making and pharmacy operations planning.

2. Manage procurement and budgeting for pharmacy supplies.

3. Liaise with pharmaceutical suppliers and vendors.

Requirement

1. Bachelor in Pharmacy.

2. Registered with SPC.
