Job summary
A quality control company in Penang is looking for a Quality Control Inspector. This role involves ensuring the quality of manufactured products through various inspections and adhering to specifications. Candidates should have at least SPM and possess strong communication and data organizational skills. The position offers a salary of RM 1,700 to RM 1,800 per month along with additional benefits including medical insurance.

Responsibilities
- Ensure Quality of manufactured product are good and responsible for product quality.
- To conduct in-coming inspection (IQC) for raw materials and packaging materials; check COA (Certificate of Analysis) on raw material for every coming lot before release to a production line.
- IQC to inform buyer if any quality discrepancy found or material does not meet specifications.
- IQC to work with buyer for immediate replacement or request for refund.
- IQC to work with buyer on filling up the Material Disposal Form (MDF) if disposition for scrap required.
- Assist on issuing CAR to suppliers if quality does not meet expectations.
- To conduct in-process inspection (IPQC) after completed every process. Record the data in the inspection record.
- Assist in approval of bulk when superior is not available
- IPQC to inform Production Supervisors if item does not meet product specifications.
- IPQC to work with Production Supervisors to decide on the disposition for the defective WIP whether can be reworked or need reproduction.
- IPQC to work with Production Supervisors on filling up the MDF form if disposition for scrap required.
- Perform outgoing inspection (OQC) of finished products to ensure quality compliance.
- OQC can only release good quality’s finished goods for GTN and store in FG warehouse.
- OQC to decide the disposition and responsible to fill up the MDF form if disposition for scrap is required.
- Review and responsible in quality reports and microbiological results of finished product.
- Time to time perform quickly visual inspections on parts.
- Given full authority to on hold any non-confirming material until the required rest and inspection have been carried out and confirmed.
- Collect and keep retained sample for every manufacturing batch with proper identification and easy for traceability.
- To record all the inspection report daily in system and prepare reports for management review.
- Perform any ad hoc tasks as assigned by management.
Requirements
- 1. SPM and above.
- 2. Preferably Non-Executive specializing in Quality Control/Assurance or equivalent.
- 3. Discipline and accurate manner.
- 4. Good communication skills.
- 5. Data organizational skills.
- 6. Eyes on detail.
- 7. Confident.
