Job summary

A leading engineering firm in Malaysia is seeking an experienced professional to oversee site supervision and coordination for construction projects. The role involves ensuring quality standards, maintaining detailed records, and reporting on progress. Candidates must have relevant qualifications in Mechanical & Electrical Engineering and be registered as an Inspector of Work. Experience in industrial environments is preferred, along with the ability to work independently and manage tight schedules.

Qualifications

  • Candidates with experience in industrial, semiconductor, and factory environments are preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Perform site supervision and coordination to ensure quality standards.

Job description
Responsibilities
  • Perform site supervision and coordination to ensure that the works carried out by contractors are within quality standards and correct specification.
  • Regularly report to relevant superiors on the progress of the works and the problem areas encountered, especially in respect of defective, outstanding or non‑conforming works or delayed works.
  • Monitor closely the work progress as scheduled in the Master Program Plan and follow up with the consultant on the stage billings.
  • Keep detailed records, daily reports, testing reports, inspection forms for all work‑in‑progress.
  • Attend the inspection & testing carried out by contractors and ensure all the reports are properly documented.
Qualifications
  • Candidate must possess relevant qualification in Mechanical & Electrical Engineering or equivalent.
  • Candidate must register with Board of Engineers Malaysia (BEM) as Inspector of Work (IOW).
  • Candidates with experience in industrial, semiconductor, and factory environments are preferred.
  • Possess experience in Mechanical & Electrical construction.
  • Independent and resourceful.
  • Capable of working under tight schedules and long hours.
