Job Description / Responsibilities
- Incoming Quality Control (IQC)
- Inspect raw materials and components to ensure compliance with specifications.
- Conduct dimensional checks, visual inspections, and sampling.
- Document findings and report non-conforming items to suppliers.
- In-Process Quality Control (IPQC)
- Perform inspections during production to maintain quality standards.
- Monitor critical process parameters and perform measurements.
- Identify and report deviations immediately to the production team.
- Outgoing Quality Control (OQC)
- Inspect finished products before shipment to ensure specifications are met.
- Verify packaging, labeling, and documentation accuracy.
- Approve products for release or initiate corrective actions for non-conforming items.
- Measurement & Equipment Expertise
- Proficient in using Calipers, Micrometers, CMM (Coordinate Measuring Machine), VMM (Video Measuring Machine), height gauges, and other precision instruments.
- Must be able to read and interpret 2D & 3D engineering drawings.
- Strong understanding of GD&T / drawing tolerances (dimensions, limits, fits).
- Able to identify critical-to-quality (CTQ) characteristics from drawings.
- Capable of verifying parts against drawing requirements using measurement equipment.
- Ensure calibration status and proper handling of all measuring equipment.
- Record and maintain inspection data accurately.
- Documentation & Reporting
- Maintain quality records and inspection reports.
- Support internal and external audits.
- Assist in root cause analysis and CAPA activities.
Requirements / Qualifications
- Minimum SPM / Diploma / Degree in Engineering or related field.
- Proven experience in IQC, IPQC, or OQC roles.
- Hands-on experience with Calipers, Micrometers, CMM, VMM, and other inspection tools.
- Knowledge of ISO 9001 / ISO 13485 / IATF 16949 standards is a plus.
- Detail-oriented, analytical, and able to work independently.
- Strong communication and reporting skills.
