Job summary
A local technology company in Penang is seeking an experienced programmer with at least 5 years in web development. The role includes mentorship of junior members, system development, and collaboration with product managers and designers. A passion for programming and proficiency in both Bahasa Melayu and English are essential. This position emphasizes coding standards and the application of secure, high-performing architectures. Qualifications
- Minimum 5 years of experience as a programmer or web developer.
- Ability to work independently and learn quickly.
- Strong passion for programming.
Responsibilities
- Provide supervision and mentorship to junior team members.
- Develop and enhance systems following the Software Development Lifecycle.
- Define and implement scalable, secure, and high-performing architectures.
- Enforce coding standards and conduct thorough code reviews.
- Work closely with stakeholders to align solutions with business needs.
- Conduct R&D to explore new technologies for integration.
Skills
Education
- Provide supervision and mentorship to junior team members in technical guidance and system development.
- Develop and enhance the system following the Software Development Lifecycle (SDL).
- Define and implement scalable, secure, and high-performing system architectures while ensuring design patterns and best practices are followed.
- Enforce coding standards, conduct thorough code reviews, and ensure code maintainability, security, and performance optimization.
- Work closely with product managers, UI/UX designers, and other stakeholders to ensure software solutions align with business needs.
- Conduct research and development (R&D) to explore new technologies and assess their feasibility for integration into the Mywave application suite.
- Review and execute feasibility studies to evaluate technical and business requirements.
- Perform other related duties as assigned or required.
Job Requirements:
- A fast learner with good problem-solving skills.
- Min Diploma/Degree in related field.
- Strong passion in Programming.
- At least 5 years of experience as a programmer or web developer, with team leadership experience being a plus.
- Proficiency in Bahasa Melayu and English.
- Able to work independently with minimal supervision.
