As a Principal IT Solutions Consultant within Platform Engineering Transformation Team, you will be at the center of this journey!

You will be evaluating new trends on the market (such as AI tools, Internal Development Platforms), bringing new tools to the portfolio and ensure smooth adoption for the area of software development tools and Internal Development Platforms. Which involves analysis, assessment, ROI calculation, writing business cases, rollout, migrations and adoption measurement assurance and much more.

We currently use stable tools portfolio (such as Jira, Confluence, GitHub, Artifactory) supported by dedicated teams and focusing (within our team) on improvements in the Platform Engineering Tools and Practices area and AI-assisted SDLC.

Our Platform and tools are serving thousands of engineering and management colleagues within the company. You will work with a team of highly skilled and engaged professionals in multiple locations, bring new ideas to life and find ways we can continuously bring more innovation, integration, and developer experience into our services.

• Tools evaluation and selection – “What is best for us?”
  • Leverage proven experience (5+ years) in a Senior Consulting role or a similar position (central tools team, technical presales, product owner…), with a perfect understanding of application development process.
  • High enthusiasm in performing market exploration, analysis and selection of tools as best fit to existing landscape/portfolio.
  • Detailed oriented tools comparison driven by the demand and use cases.
  • Knowledge of related technologies such as programming, K8S and application monitoring.
• Benefits Calculation - “Is it worth investment?”.
  • Good ability in internal Business/Investment case creation and Benefits (ROI) calculation.
  • Experience in stakeholder management, needs collection and buy-in assurance.
• Tools Adoption and Rollout - “Bring it to life”.
  • Assuring successful tools rollout from technical setup, suitable recharging model and internal offering creation.
  • Experience with setting up training, communication on various channels, forums and events.
  • Setting up sustainable run practices such as allocation of support and budgeting.
• Communication and Collaboration
  • For Principal Consultant communication is a major part of the job – whether it is with vendors, users, or Business unit partners required soft skills level is very high.
  • Good ability to express opinions openly and a commitment to fostering a culture of continuous improvement.
  • Perfect analytical skills needed for assessing the needs.
  • Willingness in flexibility to adjust working hours to better align with EU-based users is a plus.
  • Strong problem-solving abilities and keen attention to detail are essential for this role.

We require having proven track records in software consulting in development tools area or adoption projects. Experience with Software methodologies. Ability to analyze, communicate and deliver new things. You have can-do attitude, open mindset, you are able to work independently, prioritize and organize your tasks and the project. Working in a multinational environment, you can expect cross-region collaboration with teams around the globe, thus being advanced in spoken and written English is necessary.
