A manufacturing company based in George Town, Malaysia, is seeking a Quality Control Engineer to develop and implement quality control systems on the production floor. The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor's degree in Engineering and at least 2–3 years of experience in a manufacturing environment, with proficiency in ISO 9001:2015. Responsibilities include conducting QC checks, implementing corrective actions, and identifying process improvements. Develop and implement quality control systems on the production floor.
Conduct spot checks on QC and production areas to ensure compliance with quality standards.
Perform data analysis to identify trends and issues related to product or process quality.
Implement corrective and preventive actions (CAPA) for recurring quality issues on the shop floor.
Improve inspection processes (e.g., reduce checking cycle time, optimize CMM programs, enhance checklists).
Assist in resolving supplier-related quality issues and support supplier audits.
Support resolution of customer complaints and quality concerns.
Identify opportunities for process improvement and lead implementation initiatives.
Competency Requirements
Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Industrial, or a related discipline).
Minimum 2–3 years of experience in a manufacturing or related industry.
Working knowledge of ISO 9001:2015 quality management system.
Proficient in identifying, implementing, and verifying the effectiveness of CAPA.
Able to collaborate effectively with Production, Engineering, and other cross-functional teams.
Strong time management skills; capable of handling multiple projects and meeting deadlines.
Proactive in addressing quality issues and driving continuous improvement.
Flexible and able to perform well under pressure or in response to urgent production changes.
