A leading automotive company in Malaysia is seeking an Assistant Manager for Business Development & Projects. In this role, you will lead strategic property initiatives and manage high-value projects across Southeast Asia. The ideal candidate will possess a degree in Accounting or Finance, along with at least 7 years of experience in project management. Strong financial modeling, analytical, and stakeholder management skills are essential for success in this position. Position Overview:
Lead strategic property initiatives, business development projects, and M&A activities across Southeast Asia. This role drives high-value projects, market analysis, and financial modeling to support expansion, operational efficiency, and business growth.
Key Responsibilities:
Manage property projects up to RM10M and assist on larger projects up to RM80M.
Conduct market studies, financial analysis, and feasibility evaluations for investments and site selection.
Lead M&A, divestment, and brand expansion initiatives, including due diligence and valuation.
Oversee project timelines, approvals, and stakeholder coordination across multiple departments.
Drive business improvement initiatives, facilities upgrades, and provide solutions for property/network development.
Manage and mentor team members, ensuring timely deliverables and skill development.
Maintain market intelligence database and benchmark industry best practices.
Requirements:
Strong experience in project management, financial modeling, and strategic planning.
Proven ability to lead cross-functional teams and manage high-value projects.
Excellent analytical, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills.
Education / Professional Qualification & Experience:
Degree in Accounting and Finance/ Corporate Finance/ Business or equivalent qualification in relevant field.
Professional Certification in Accounting/ Business / Investment-related
Minimum 7 years’ experience in Project Management/ Accounting/ Finance/ Business or related field.
