Job summary
A leading engineering company in George Town, Malaysia, is seeking a candidate to oversee the planning and execution of MEP systems for engineering projects. The ideal applicant will have a Bachelor’s in Mechanical, Electrical, or Plumbing Engineering and fluency in Mandarin and English. Responsibilities include managing subcontractors, conducting site inspections, and preparing detailed designs. Willingness to travel is required.

- Bachelor’s degree in a relevant engineering field needed.
- Fluency in Mandarin and English is preferred.
Responsibilities
- Oversee planning and execution of MEP systems.
- Collaborate with teams to meet project objectives.
- Conduct site inspections and analyze technical data.
- Prepare design drawings and feasibility studies.
- Manage subcontractors and suppliers.
Skills
Education
- Oversee the planning, execution, and monitoring of mechanical, electrical, and plumbing (MEP) systems for engineering projects.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure project objectives are met within time, cost, and quality constraints.
- Conduct site inspections, analyze technical data, and identify potential issues or risks.
- Prepare detailed design drawings, specifications, and feasibility studies.
- Manage and coordinate the work of subcontractors and suppliers.
- Ensure compliance with relevant codes, standards, and regulations.
- Provide technical support and guidance to clients.
- Contribute to the continuous improvement of engineering processes and practices.
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Plumbing or other Construction Engineering.
- Candidates fluent in Mandarin and English (verbal and writing) preferred; proficiency in Mandarin to effectively communicate with Mandarin-speaking clients.
- Willingness to travel domestically and overseas (short and long term).
