We’re looking for someone who embodies high ownership and accountability who speaks fluent English & Chinese. A leader in driving new feature development, but also ensuring best practices (technical and process) are top of mind. You ensure alignment, understanding, and impact across different contexts and backgrounds. Agency experience preferred.

Feature Development: Develop and maintain complex features in our Laravel platform, enhancing functionality and user experience.

Code Quality: Write clean, efficient, and maintainable PHP code, adhering to best practices and standards.

Front-End Collaboration: Collaborate with front-end developers for seamless integration of user interfaces with server-side logic.

API Development: Develop RESTful API for high performance and scalability, focusing on ease of use and robust documentation.

Performance Optimization: Optimize the application for speed and scalability, including database optimizations and resource management.

Security and Data Protection: Implement strong security measures and data protection strategies to safeguard user data and platform integrity.

Lifecycle Contribution: Engage in all development lifecycle phases, adopting agile methodologies for continuous improvement.

Team Mentorship: Contribute to the team growth through hiring and mentoring new team members.

Collaborate with cross‑functional teams building highly secure, complex back‑end and front‑end products with many moving parts.

Front End

Experience with: React, Gulp, and/or other frameworks

Back End/Implementation

Required: PHP 7/8, Laravel, SQL (MySQL/MSSQL/NoSQL/Other), REST/SOAP

Experience with / Nice to have: Python, Node.js, SOLR, PDF Publishing, and other frameworks

CMS/Frameworks

Required: Laravel, .NET

Experience with / Nice to have: Symfony, Drupal 8/9/10, WordPress, Other

Systems/Stacks

Experience with / Nice to have: K8S, LAMP Stack (and variations), Bash and command line, Performance/PEN Testing, Hosting configurations, AWS/Azure/Cloud experience, Caching, DNS

Workflow/Other

CICD/DevOps (Jenkins), Git (GitHub, BitBucket)/SVN, SSO/SAML, SEO Best Practices, Compliance (ADA/SOC/GDPR/PCI DSS)

Tools

Visual Studio Code (our standard IDE), Microsoft Office Suite, Google Suite, Basecamp, Jira, Other

Pay: RM80,000 - RM120,000 per year

Additional pay:

8 hour shift

Monday to Friday (except Malaysia Public Holidays)
