Job summary
A leading chemical company in Kulim, Malaysia, is seeking a laboratory technician to perform chemical and physical analyses as well as maintain laboratory equipment in accordance with Good Laboratory Practice (GLP). Responsibilities include executing analyses, ensuring compliance with operating procedures, proper documentation, and supporting safety and health policies. Candidates must have relevant laboratory experience and a strong commitment to quality standards.
Qualifications
- Experience in chemical and physical analysis in a laboratory setting.
- Knowledge of Good Laboratory Practice (GLP) standards.
- Familiarity with laboratory equipment maintenance and calibration.
Responsibilities
- Perform chemical and physical testing for lab samples.
- Ensure compliance with Basic Operating Procedures.
- Maintain and calibrate laboratory equipment.
To perform chemical and physical analysis in the chemistry laboratory and maintaining of all laboratory equipment, chemicals and glassware in accordance with Good Laboratory Practice (GLP).
Responsible for the execution of all analysis as well as maintenance and calibration of the equipment in the Chemistry Laboratory
- Perform chemical and physical testing for Incoming, Compounding and Dip Room samples.
- Ensure that test are carried out as per outlined in the Basic Operating Procedure (BOP).
- Responsible for preparations and standardizations of chemicals used in the lab.
- Responsible for proper documentation and recording of all test results.
- Responsible for maintenance and/or calibration of all laboratory equipment.
- Ensure adherence to company’s Environmental, Safety and Health policies.
- Support 5S activities in the laboratory.
- Carry out special projects as directed by Supervisor.
