Job summary
A reputable auditing firm located in Johor, Malaysia, is seeking an Auditor to join their team. The ideal candidate should possess at least a Bachelor's Degree in Finance or Accountancy with 1-2 years of experience in external auditing, although fresh graduates are also welcome to apply. Responsibilities include planning and executing statutory audits, liaising with clients to address queries, and remaining up-to-date with accounting regulations. This role offers attractive remuneration, medical claims, and opportunities for training and study leave.

- Ability to work independently and under pressure.
Responsibilities
- Plan and execute statutory audits of companies in accordance with Malaysian standards.
- Perform audit testing and prepare relevant documentation.
- Liaise with clients to address queries and provide recommendations.

- Candidates must possess at least Bachelor's Degree/Professional Degree in Finance/Accountancy or equivalent.
- Minimum 1-2 years of relevant experience in external auditing; we welcome applications from fresh graduates or those with internship experience in audit.
- Technical knowledge of MFRS/MPERS and auditing standards.
- Resilience and the ability to perform under pressure in a fast‑paced environment, especially during peak periods.
- Eager to learn, problem‑solving, analytical and critical thinking skills.
- Able to work independently, communicate effectively and build strong client relationships.
- Experience with ABOT audit software will have an added advantage.
- Candidate must be comfortable to work in Johor office.
- To undertake the planning and execution of statutory audits of companies in varied industries in accordance with approved standards on auditing in Malaysia.
- Performing tests of controls, audit testing, and preparation of audit paperwork and relevant documentation in accordance with standards and requirements.
- Liaise with clients to address queries, resolve issues, and provide value‑added recommendations.
- Collaborating with cross‑functional teams to deliver seamless audit engagements.
- Staying up‑to‑date with changes in accounting regulations and standards, and incorporating them into audit procedures.
- Handle ad hoc assignments as required by management.
