Under the general supervision of an authorized user, the PET / CT technologist will perform high quality, diagnostic procedures and carry out all related functions pertaining to PET / CT examinations. Will collaborate with Radiologists, Physicists and Radiation Safety to assure all equipment, policies and procedures are adhering to ACR standards, manufacturers recommendations and NYS Radiation Safety Guidelines.
Minimum Qualifications :
AAS in Radiologic Technology or equivalent, NYS license / registration in Nuclear Medicine (must obtain within 6 months of limited permit) and Registered with Nuclear Medicine Technology Certification Board (NMTCB) or American Registry of Radiologic Technologist (ARRT) (must obtain within 1 year of appointment), one year experience as a radiologic technologist, plus current CPR-BLS certification required by time of appointment.
Preferred Qualifications :
BS in Nuclear Medicine Technology. NYS License / Registration in Nuclear Medicine. Registered with Nuclear Medicine Technology Certification Board (NMTCB) or American Registry of Radiologic Technologist (ARRT). Minimum of 3-5 years of progressive technical experience required.
Work Days :
40 hrs / week; Monday-Friday; Specific hours to be determined. Will be required to work weekends and holidays on a rotational basis. Overtime may be required based on departmental needs.
