Overview

The Manufacturing Engineering Manager supervises a manufacturing engineering department, controls manufacturing and production costs, drives continuous improvement with statistical process control and Six Sigma, develops mid‑term manufacturing strategy, leads sourcing plans, supports decision‑making, advises on financial‑technical matters, and ensures adherence to business processes and ISO standards.

Responsibilities
  • Lead an engineering department, overseeing results, cost control (CAPEX), staffing, performance management, compensation, career development, and operational processes.
  • Develop mid‑term manufacturing engineering strategy, review employee resource and training plans, and verify analyses for optimal capability allocation to projects.
  • Drive team efficiency by analyzing progress and outcomes of projects and departmental activities, identify improvement areas, implement performance strategies, and ensure alignment with objectives.
  • Support decision‑making on whether to manufacture internally, procure externally, or outsource production aspects, considering cost, quality, capacity, and strategic alignment.
  • Co‑lead the development and implementation of sourcing plans to acquire tools, equipment, and manufacturing processes that support operational efficiency and meet production demands.
  • Implement statistical process control (SPC) techniques and Six Sigma methodologies to reduce variation, enhance product quality, and foster innovation across the organization.
  • Advise on complex processes and challenging organizational challenges from a financial‑technical perspective, collaborating with Finance & Accounting on cost prices, cost savings, capex, capital planning, and operational result analysis.
  • Ideate continuous improvement initiatives, enhance product manufacturability, apply lean manufacturing principles, streamline capital expenditures for recurring investments, and ensure optimized operations and cost‑effectiveness.
  • Analyze ongoing project status and outcomes through technical reports and recommendations, establish and enforce budgets, schedules, work plans, and performance requirements, and communicate progress and results to higher management.
  • Ensure strict adherence to established business processes, maintain consistency, efficiency, and compliance across all operational activities, and oversee resources, planning, quality, and cost (including CAPEX) for projects.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Mechanical, Industrial, Electrical, Electronic Engineering or equivalent.

We believe in teamwork and require on‑site presence at least 3 days per week for office‑based roles. On‑site roles need full‑time presence in the company’s facilities; field roles are typically performed at customer or supplier locations.
