Job summary
A leading cryptocurrency investment platform in Indonesia is seeking a Senior Frontend Engineer to own the app’s observability and mentor the team. This role requires deep expertise in either Kotlin (Android) or React Native (TypeScript), along with strong mobile engineering experience. The ideal candidate will enhance app stability, build internal libraries, and ensure high standards in code quality. This position is pivotal in transitioning the company to an open financial system.

We’re looking for a Senior Frontend Engineer to elevate our mobile engineering standards. As the architect behind our core logic, you will own the app’s observability and mentor the wider team while bridging the gap between Native and React Native for performance and scalability.
In this role, you will:
- Observability & Stability: Own the “health” of the mobile app. Implement detailed monitoring (logging, crash reporting, performance tracing) to proactively identify issues, reduce crash rates, and improve startup times.
- Core Library Architecture: Architect and maintain the foundational logic libraries (SDKs, networking, data processing, etc.) that power our features; ensure these libraries are robust, documented, and reusable.
- Engineering Quality: Increase the overall quality of frontend engineering. This includes automated testing, streamlined CI/CD pipelines, and vigorous code reviews.
- The Bridge: Work across the stack, exposing high‑performance Kotlin modules to the React Native layer.
We are open to two types of profiles for this role:
- Deep expertise in Kotlin (Android).
- Strong knowledge of Android architecture (MVVM, Clean Arch) and threading.
- Requirement: A willingness to learn React Native and work in a hybrid codebase.
- Deep expertise in React Native (TypeScript) and its internals (New Architecture, Bridging).
- Requirement: Proven experience writing custom Native Modules in Kotlin/Java or Swift/Obj‑C.
- 5+ years of mobile engineering experience.
- Experience building internal libraries, SDKs, or shared tools.
- Strong opinion on code quality, testing strategies, and mentorship.
