External Data Integration (NEW): Design and implement processes to acquire and integrate data from external sources, such as public APIs, third-party logistics platforms, or market rate providers, to enrich internal datasets.
Data Modeling: Apply data warehousing principles (e.g., star schema) to model complex freight forwarding data, ensuring high data quality, consistency, and efficient query performance for reporting.
Data Governance: Ensure the integrity, security, and cleanliness of data sources, primarily using advanced SQL scripting for data manipulation and validation.
Source Management: Troubleshoot and optimize data ingestion from various source systems, including direct connections to the ERP system and management of crucial Excel files.
Develop and maintain cross-department dashboards (finance, commercial, trucking, operations, HR, etc).

Extract and process weekly commercial booking/shipment data for Power BI, provide insights through historical data analysis and forecasting, and monitor commercial KPIs through to incentive/commission finalization.
Advanced Analytics: Conduct deep-dive analysis on key business areas, such as: Operational Efficiency: Analyze shipment transit times, identify bottlenecks in specific transport modes (FCL/LCL, FTL/LTL), and calculate asset utilization rates; Financial Performance: Analyze profitability per shipment, dissect operational costs, and perform margin analysis on sales data; Sales Insights: Evaluate market trends and assess the performance of sales & marketing initiatives.
Insight Generation: Translate complex analytical findings into clear, concise, and actionable recommendations for senior management and operational teams to optimize routes, pricing, and asset deployment.
Technical Reporting: Utilize advanced features within Power BI, including mastering the DAX language, to create sophisticated measures and calculations.
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Statistics, or related field.
3–5 years of experience in data engineering, analytics, or business intelligence.
Strong proficiency in SQL for data manipulation, validation, and governance.
Expertise in Microsoft Power BI or other data visualization tools, including advanced DAX and dashboard/report development.
Familiarity with ERP systems and integration of external data sources (APIs, logistics platforms, market rate providers).
Ability to perform deep-dive analysis on operational efficiency, financial performance, and sales/marketing initiatives.
Knowledge of freight forwarding services (Ocean FCL/LCL, Air, Road FTL/LTL) and related KPIs is a significant advantage.
Self-driven, detail-oriented, and capable of owning end-to-end analytical infrastructure.
