World Resources Institute Indonesia is an independent research organization dedicated to sustainability, economic opportunity, and human well‑being. The Food‑Land‑Water (FLW) Program aims to protect forests and peatland across Indonesia, ensuring climate goals, livelihoods, and biodiversity. Nature‑based solutions (NbS) are central to this strategy, including research, policy advocacy, and the creation of community practices. The Southeast Asia Climate and Nature‑based Solution (SCeNe) Coalition partners with NGOs to scale NbS through three workstreams: identifying investment opportunities, showcasing high‑integrity projects, and supporting access to carbon finance. EPISTEM provides an open‑source landscape monitoring technology, while the ASEAN‑NbS Tool advances inclusive, climate‑resilient NbS across ASEAN, incorporating geospatial methodologies and MRV frameworks.
The Senior Lead will drive NbS program initiatives such as the SCeNe Coalition, the ASEAN‑NbS Tool, and EPISTEM. Responsibilities include enhancing the NbS Tool, developing methodologies for harmonized land cover maps, and delivering open‑source geospatial analytics to inform policy. The role reports to the NbS Manager, coordinating with geospatial analysts, consortium members, and financing leads. The position is based in Jakarta with a flexible hybrid model and travel as required. The role supports WRI’s DEI commitment by integrating equity across work and culture.
