A local council in Bolton is looking for a Workshop Supervisor to oversee operations in their Vehicle Maintenance Workshop. You will ensure effective maintenance and repair of the fleet while leading a dedicated team. You will lead and supervise the day-to-day operations of the vehicle workshop, ensuring the effective maintenance, repair, and compliance of the organisation s fleet.

This post is a designated customer facing role under the fluency duty and requires a specified level of spoken English as per the person specification.
Essential requirements, Valid Current Driving Licence, NVQ Level 3 in Motor Vehicle Studies (Light and Large Goods Vehicles) or City and Guilds Level 3 (Light and Large Goods Vehicles). Minimum of 4 years skilled Motor Vehicle Technician, You ll be an experienced and motivated Motor Vehicle Technician with previous supervisory experience, a minimum of 4 years as skilled Motor Vehicle Technician, and a passion for delivering high‑quality work. Ideally, you ll also have experience of working on a variety of vehicles with good diagnostic and problem‑solving skills.
You ll be an effective member of the team who takes pride keeping the fleet mobile and operational.
Good organisation, written and oral communication skills, and the ability build productive partnerships and relationships in problem‑solving are essential. You should enjoy working as part of a team and take pride in keeping the fleet mobile and operational.
You ll be required to have a flexible approach to working hours and be able to cover different shift patterns over the working week (Monday to Friday).
