Logistics Coordinator

• £31,000 - £34,000 plus bonus scheme, dependent on skills & experience.
• Permanent position, with opportunity for continuous development
• Full-time role, based at our office in Dinnington, South Yorkshire

We are looking for a highly organized and motivated Logistics Coordinator to join our fantastic team. You will play a vital role in our Service Department, ensuring that day to day logistic responsibilities run smoothly and effectively in supporting both our internal and external customers.

About the role:

As a Logistics Coordinator, you will play a vital role in managing shipments, liaising with suppliers, and ensuring that deliveries arrive on time and within budget. You’ll be the key link between transport teams, warehouses, and customers, making sure everything stays on track. No two days will be the same, and your ability to think on your feet will keep things moving efficiently.

Your problem-solving skills will come into play as you address logistics-related inquiries from internal and external customers while maintaining strong stock control and resolving inventory issues efficiently. You’ll also be proactive in identifying cost-saving opportunities and process improvements, anticipating potential challenges, and advising stakeholders on risks and recommendations.

What are we looking for?

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including good numeracy and literacy skills.
• Competent in the use of Word, Excel, PowerPoint and email systems.
• Previous experience in stock control and logistics is desirable.
• Knowledge of shipping regulations (e.g., IATA, ADR, IMDG) and transport safety standards, with a general understanding of material dispatch.
• Strong understanding of import/export processes, transport regulations, and customs clearance.
• Enthusiastic, eager to learn, and passionate about logistics.
• Positive attitude with a proactive and problem-solving mindset.
• Ability to prioritize workload, multitask, and meet deadlines.
• Capable of working independently and collaborating with multiple stakeholders.
• Strong ability to perform under pressure.
• Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Good geographical knowledge of the UK.
• Valid proof of right to work in the UK and valid UK driving license (occasional UK travel required).
