Job summary
A leading technical consultancy is seeking an experienced Bid Manager to handle all aspects of the bidding process in the Defence sector. The position offers hybrid working, a competitive salary of up to £75K, plus benefits including private healthcare and a bonus scheme. Candidates must have a degree in a technical field and experience in government procurement. Eligibility for UK Security Clearance is required.

Bid Manager – Defence / Security - Technical Consultancy – To C£75K with Hybrid + Bonus
A Bid Manager with several years’ experience bidding in a Technical Service environment predominantly in the Defence sector / MOD will take responsibility for managing and coordinating the full bid lifecycle process.
The successful Bid Manager will be a key member of the sales team of a leading Technical Consultancy, where you’ll focus on Defence and Security, working primarily with the MOD.
The Bid Managers should bring the following:
- A Degree qualification ideally in a technical discipline.
- Experience in government procurement as well as business to business bidding.
- Proven experience of bidding in a technical services environment, predominantly in Defence / MOD.
- Preparation of commercial and technical bid or proposal documents.
- Experience of client contact.
The responsibilities of the Bid Manager will include:
- Managing the full lifecycle of bids including support to Contract negotiation.
- Preparing and delivering compelling bid content and documentation aligned with customer requirements.
- Management of government frameworks.
- Liaising with legal teams on bid information.
