About Our Client
The hiring organisation is a well-established medium-sized company operating in the transport & distribution industry. They are known for their focus on operational excellence and providing essential services to a wide range of clients. They have doubled in size over the last 4 years, and have plans to continue this growth over the next 5 years
Job Description
- Manage the accounts payable function, ensuring accuracy and compliance with company policies.
- Oversee invoice processing and supplier payment schedules.
- Reconcile supplier statements and resolve any discrepancies in a timely manner.
- Collaborate with other departments to streamline processes and improve efficiency.
- Prepare and provide regular reports on accounts payable performance to senior management.
- Lead and support a small team within the accounts payable function.
- Maintain accurate records and ensure adherence to internal controls.
- Assist in month-end closing and audit preparations as required.
The Successful Applicant
A successful AP Manager should have:
- Proven experience in Accounts Payable from a high volume, multi site background
- Experience in leading a team
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles and financial procedures.
- Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.
- Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work collaboratively across departments.
- Effective communication skills for liaising with suppliers and stakeholders.
