Role Overview

We have an exciting opportunity for a Accounts Payable Manager to join our team within Vistry Cornwall South West, at our Exeter office. As our Accounts Payable Manager, you will be responsible for leading the accounts payable team across transactional processing, including general administration duties as well as monitoring, reporting and actioning key financial support duties for both internal and external stakeholders.

  • Manage and lead business unit Accounts Payable team, providing guidance, training, and support to ensure high-performance levels
  • Oversee the end-to-end accounts payable process, including invoice processing, scheduled and ad-hoc payments, and vendor management
  • Accurate processing, coding, and matching of high volume of invoices in accordance with group policies
  • Ensure timely and accurate payment of invoices, reconciling discrepancies, and resolving issues with vendors or with VAT or CIS compliance
  • Develop, generate and analyse accounts payable reports, providing insights to senior management on key performance metrics
  • Provide support for cashflow reporting and forecasting
  • Maintain strong relationships with suppliers, subcontractors and internal stakeholders (including procurement and commercial) to facilitate effective communication and issue resolution
  • Stay informed about changes in accounting regulations and industry best practices, incorporating updates into the accounts payable process
